STEPS FOR THE BROW-LIFTING PROCEDURE
1) Assess the condition of the client's eyebrow hairs
Specify the processing time for the brow-lifting solutions according to the instructions below:
Type 1: the eyebrow hairs are thick, coarse, and have not previously undergone chemical procedures (brow tinting or bleaching) - processing time is 5 to 8 minutes for Serum 1 and at least 6 to 8 minutes for Serum 2;
Type 2: the eyebrow hairs are of medium thickness, natural, healthy, or have previously undergone chemical procedures (brow tinting or bleaching) - processing time is 3 to 5 minutes for Serum 1 and 6 to 8 minutes for Serum 2;
The processing time for Serum 3 Cera Healer is 5 minutes for all hair types.
PLEASE NOTE! The maximum processing time for Serum 1 and Serum 2 is 15 minutes.
PLEASE NOTE! The action of Serums 1 and 2 depends directly on the ambient air temperature. The higher the temperature, the shorter the reaction time.
2) Prepare the eyebrows for the lifting procedure
To cleanse the hairs and skin before the brow-lifting procedure, use ÉLAN professional line's "Detox cleansing mousse for eyebrows and eyelashes with antibacterial effect." Remove the mousse with a cotton pad moistened with water.
3) Create the eyebrow shape (Serum 1)
PLEASE NOTE! If the client has thin, sensitive skin, apply a thin layer of the professional line TM ÉLAN argan oil cream to the eyebrows and a thicker layer to the skin around the eyebrows. We recommend using the BLACKWOOD #4 professional makeup brush from TM ÉLAN professional line.
Apply Serum 1 to the eyebrows. We recommend using the BLACKWOOD #3 professional brush from TM ÉLAN professional line.
PLEASE NOTE! The maximum processing time must not exceed the processing time specified for the selected eyebrow hair type.
Once the processing time has elapsed, remove any excess solution with a cotton pad moistened with water.
PLEASE NOTE! When creating the eyebrow shape, it is important to take the direction of eyebrow hair growth into account. Changes to the eyebrow shape should be gradual to prevent the hairs from bending.
4) Set the direction of the eyebrow hairs (Serum 2)
PLEASE NOTE! If the client has thin, sensitive skin, apply a thin layer of the professional line TM ÉLAN argan oil cream to the eyebrows and a thicker layer to the skin around the eyebrows. We recommend using the BLACKWOOD #4 professional makeup brush from TM ÉLAN professional line.
Apply and spread Serum 2 over the eyebrows, positioning the hairs in the correct direction.
PLEASE NOTE! The amount of solution used in the fourth step of the brow-lifting procedure (Serum 2) must be equal to the amount of solution used in the third step of creating the eyebrow shape (Serum 1).
PLEASE NOTE! The processing time in the fourth step (Serum 2) must be equal to the processing time in the third step of creating the eyebrow shape (Serum 1), but must not be less than 6 minutes.
At the end of the processing time, remove any excess solution with a cotton pad moistened with water if eyebrow tinting is planned.
Once the processing time has elapsed, remove any excess solution with a cotton pad moistened with ÉLAN professional line's detox cleansing mousse for eyebrows and eyelashes with antibacterial effect to stop the chemical reaction, if eyebrow tinting is not planned. Remove the mousse with a cotton pad moistened with water.
5) Brow care (Serum 3 Cera Healer)
Apply and distribute Serum 3 Cera Healer over the eyebrows.
At the end of the processing time, remove any excess solution with a cotton pad moistened with water if eyebrow tinting is not planned.
At the end of the processing time, remove any excess solution with a cotton pad moistened with ÉLAN professional line's detox cleansing mousse for eyebrows and eyelashes with antibacterial effect to stop the chemical reaction, if eyebrow tinting is planned. Remove the mousse with a cotton pad moistened with water.
Apply the tint mixture to the eyebrows immediately after using ÉLAN professional line's "Detox cleansing mousse for eyebrows and eyelashes with antibacterial effect."
PLEASE NOTE!: When tinting is performed, the eyebrow color is expected to be brighter and develop faster on the hairs.
For best results, use "ÉLAN professional line COLOUR FIX: color-fixing fluid for eyebrows and eyelashes with keratin and sunflower seed oil." Perform this step once the eyebrow shaping procedure is also complete.
PLEASE NOTE!: Eyebrow shaping should only be performed once the brow lamination procedure is complete. We strongly recommend using tweezers to avoid serious skin damage.

Type 1: the eyelashes are thick or straight - processing time is 6 to 10 minutes for Serum 1 and at least 6 minutes for Serum 2;
Type 2: the eyelash hairs are of medium thickness or fine - processing time is 3 to 6 minutes for Serum 1 and at least 6 minutes for Serum 2;
The processing time for Serum 3 Cera Healer is 5 minutes for all hair types.

To cleanse the hairs and skin before lash lifting, use ÉLAN professional line's "Detox cleansing mousse for eyebrows and eyelashes with antibacterial effect." Remove the mousse with a cotton pad moistened with water.
Attach a suitable-size silicone pad to the upper eyelid.
Spread and secure the eyelashes on the silicone pad using the setting gel from TM ÉLAN professional line and an applicator.
3) Create the lash curl (Serum 1)
Apply Serum 1 to the lash curling area. We recommend using the BLACKWOOD #1 professional makeup brush from TM ÉLAN professional line.
PLEASE NOTE! The maximum processing time must not exceed the processing time specified for the selected eyelash type.
At the end of the processing time, remove any excess solution with a dry makeup brush, following the direction of eyelash growth. We recommend using the BLACKWOOD #2 professional makeup brush from TM ÉLAN.
4) Set the direction of eyelash growth (Serum 2)
Apply a thick layer of Serum 2 over the entire surface of the eyelashes.
PLEASE NOTE! The amount of solution used in the fourth step of the lash-lifting procedure (Serum 2) must be equal to the amount of solution used in the third step of creating the lash curl (Serum 1).
PLEASE NOTE! The processing time in the fourth step (Serum 2) must be equal to the processing time in the third step of creating the lash curl (Serum 1), but must not be less than 6 minutes.
Once the processing time has elapsed, remove any excess solution with a dry makeup brush, following the direction of eyelash growth. We recommend using the BLACKWOOD #2 brush from TM ÉLAN professional line.
5) Lash care (Serum 3 Cera Healer)
Apply Serum 3 Cera Healer over the entire surface of the eyelashes for 5 minutes.
At the end of the processing time, remove any excess solution and setting gel with a cotton pad moistened with water.
PLEASE NOTE! To achieve the most impressive effect and visible results, the technologists at ELAN professional line recommend tinting the eyelashes with TM ÉLAN professional line's 01 black tinting gel once the lifting procedure is complete.
Apply ÉLAN professional line's "Detox cleansing mousse for eyebrows and eyelashes with antibacterial effect" to the eyelashes to stop the chemical reaction. Remove the mousse with a cotton pad moistened with water. Perform this step once the eyelash tinting procedure is also complete.
For best results, use "ÉLAN professional line COLOUR FIX: color-fixing fluid for eyebrows and eyelashes with keratin and sunflower seed oil."
POST-PROCEDURE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR EYEBROWS AND EYELASHES
! Tinting the eyebrows with henna and bleaching the eyebrows is not recommended, as the result may be highly unpredictable: the hair structure may be damaged (dry, dull hairs), which can lead to brittleness and hair loss.
! We strongly recommend avoiding saunas, tanning beds, and any mechanical damage to the created eyebrow shape or lash curl (such as sleeping with your face against the pillow), minimizing contact between the eyebrows and eyelashes and water, and not brushing the eyebrows or eyelashes for 24 hours after the lifting procedure.
! We strongly recommend avoiding the use of harsh cosmetics and undergoing aggressive cosmetic procedures (scrubs, peels, alcohol-based lotions, laser treatments) for 48 hours after the brow- or lash-lifting procedure.
